A woman laboring to give birth is beautiful and a truly awesome process that involves our body, mind, and soul. I believe when a woman is enabled to unite these three parts of her self she can enjoy giving birth, because women are wonderfully designed.

Giving birth can empower you in your mothering and help you to strengthen your bond to your baby. Since the birth of your baby is a crucial point in your relationship to your child, a positive birth experience can contribute to a positive experience of mothering in the postpartum period and beyond. Your partner has an important role in the birth of your baby, and as a doula I am committed to helping your birth experience be one that strengthens your bond to your partner too.

Your desires for the birth of your baby are my first priority. Through extensive prenatal visits we can prepare for the ideal birth experience. Ultimately we can not control every aspect of the birth process, but a positive birth experience doesn't depend on a specific outcome. A positive experience is possible for every woman because you have what it takes to give birth to your baby – whatever that looks like.
